Due to the use of optical fiber as the transmission medium, it can completely avoid the threats of lightning, surges, electromagnetic interference, etc. to communication equipment in harsh environments. At the same time, it eliminates the investment in lightning surge protection equipment when using copper wire, greatly improving the reliability, safety, and confidentiality of control signals.
